Welcome to Fakenham Community Shed. We are a group of people who enjoy getting together to socialise and, hopefully, make things as we do.
The Fakenham Community Shed has been established along the lines of the global Mens Shed movement.
We are currently a fledgling group with a small steering committee. Please join us to help develop our ideas further!
“What is this Community Shed about “
We have found “our place” in Fakenham where we will meet and make. Adults over 18 are welcome to come along.
We aim to meet once or twice a week, to socialize, meet new people and make friends along the way.
You can take part in activities like woodwork, metalwork and other crafts. We hope to be able to provide many interest based activities and are wanting to invite anybody with particular craft skills or an interest.
The main aim is that we will be guided by our members and it will be a place to meet for your well-being and health first and foremost.
It’s intended to give you a place to go where you will feel welcome.
At this time the Community Shed is in the developing stages and will constantly be making changes as we go we hope to keep you as up to date as possible.
There is a suggested yearly subscription to join the Shed, and possibly a weekly cost – this is yet to be decided on, but it will be a not for profit organisation so the cost will be low for local people.
